Supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice

Bluebell Wood is an amazing local charity caring for children and young adults with life-shortening or life-threatening conditions in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Notts and North Lincolnshire.

Our chosen charity since 2019 we are having great fun raising funds for such a great cause whilst getting to know the fabulous team.

Staniforths has been inspired by Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice’s mascot - the lovable working Cocker Spaniel, George - so we have created a Gingerbread in his name! 20p from every sale will be donated to Bluebell Wood to support their vital work. So what are you waiting for, get down to your local Staniforths for a tasty treat that supports an amazing charity. 

Gingerbread George was launched on St George's Day at our Effingham Square shop and our customers couldn’t wait to get their hands on their very own Gingerbread George. It was a lovely morning, with the talented Blue Crew providing the sound track. 

Since the launch on April 23rd 2022 we have sold 8,125 Gingerbread George raising an amazing £1,625 for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice! Thank you so much to everyone that has supported Gingerbread George.

We hate plastic waist and have worked really hard to minimise our plastic use, including plastic carrier bags. However we understand that sometimes a bag is required to get your shopping home. All  profits from our carrier bag tax are donated to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and we encourage you to re use your carrier bags.

Our team love getting involved in fund raising and what better way to do it than getting the team together for a day out! So far our team have visited Scarborough, Blackpool and Liverpool Christmas Market. They have been fun filled days from playing games to raise funds to sight seeing. And most importantly have raised £1,200 so far. Our team are looking forward to the next trip to Whitby. 

We also love to support Bluebell Woods fundraising events and you can too. We are looking forward to attending the Mucky Pups event on 2nd October 2022. Jump, splash and bound your way around Thoresby Park with your pup for a totally paw-some time!
